Annual Report Excerpt

Another year has come and gone and once again I hear the familiar request "It's Annual Report Time." We were saddened this year by the loss of Betty Copeland. We shall miss her ready smile and her willingness to help.

The Chancel Guild had 5 regular meetings with an average of 18 members present. We decorated the church for 4 special seasons: Easter, Harvest Festival, Remembrance and Christmas.

We are a privileged group of ladies who care for Eucharist and Chancel appointments and assist the Priest when necessary. Our last meeting in May was a Table Eucharist and Pot Luck Supper with Father Ron as guest speaker.

On Palm Sunday, we attended the 8:00 am Eucharist and then went to the Radisson for breakfast. We delivered 159 bouquets of flowers to shut-ins, nursing homes and hospitals. Thanks to our parishioners for their contributions for memorial flowers. Without your help we couldn't have flowers every Sunday. Also thanks to you parishioners who so willing deliver flowers when asked.

I feel very fortunate to have 17 regular and 3 floaters who are very hard working and co-operative ladies in the Guild. Thank you very much for your hard work.

Thanks to Judy Palmer for all the extras you do for the Guild and looking after the Wednesday service. I look forward to working with Father Merv for the coming year.

Sincere thanks for to Father Henry, Father Ron and Father Fitz for their support and guidance over the past year. Thanks to Gordon Silk for keeping me up to date on the sick and seniors who are moving from home to home and in and out of hospitals.

    Respectfully submitted
    Doreen Barrott, President
